This LA Metro A Line Destinations Guide covers the eight different college and university campuses with excellent access to the A Line light rail line between Pasadena and Pomona.
The new A Line extension to Pomona North makes it easy for San Gabriel Valley college students to get to school affordably and on time.
This guide covers the following schools:

Metro A Line Colleges and Universities Map
ArtCenter College of Design
Use these A Line Stations: Del Mar, Fillmore, and Memorial Park
Students, faculty, and staff can ride the ArtCenter Shuttle for free.
Shuttles stop at both the Hillside and South Campus and at the Memorial Park, Del Mar, and Fillmore Stations on the Metro A Line. If you prefer to walk, the Fillmore Station is just one block north of South Campus.
The ArtCenter shuttles run from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Saturdays, 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Azusa Pacific University
Use this A Line Station: APU/Citrus College
The APU / Citrus College Station is an easy walk from Azusa Pacific University’s East and West Campuses.
The station is accessible to pedestrians and multi-modal motorists via the Metro Park and Ride building on N. Citrus Avenue. Upon exiting the station, you can head southbound on N Citrus Avenue to access APU campuses.
APU East campus [entry at N Citrus Ave and University Way] is an eight-minute walk from the station. APU West campus [entry at E Foothill Blvd / Centennial Ln] is a ten-minute walk from the station.
Cal Poly Pomona
Use this A Line Station: Pomona North
The Silver Streak shuttle service will stop at the Pomona North station on the A Line extension. Shuttles run weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., boarding at the Student Services building. Your CPP Class Pass allows you to ride the shuttles for free.

Citrus College
Use this A Line Station: APU/Citrus College
Citrus College is a five-minute walk from the APU / Citrus College Station. Exit the station platform and walk southbound on N Citrus Ave for three minutes, and you will enter the west side of campus.
Citrus College students can ride free on Foothill Transit and LA Metro with the GoPass. The GoPass gets you unlimited free rides on even more buses. You can ride Foothill Transit local and Silver Streak lines, Metro bus and rail, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, Long Beach Transit, and other participating agencies.
The GoPass will be distributed in the Campus Center from August 25 through December 12, 2025. All you need to bring is your current student ID and be registered for at least one credit unit.

The Claremont Colleges
Use this A Line Station: Pomona North
Claremont College students, faculty, and staff ride free on Foothill Transit with Class Pass.
Foothill Transit Bus Line 197 connects the new Pomona North station to the Claremont McKenna Colleges. Buses leave approximately every 30 minutes to an hour.

Mount San Antonio College
Use this A Line Station: Pomona North
Mt. SAC students can ride public transit for free with the GoPass, whether for school, work, or fun. Students enrolled in at least one credit unit are eligible.

The new Foothill Transit Bus Line 295 directly connects Mt. SAC and the new Metro A Line San Dimas Station.
Pasadena City College
Use this A Line Station: Allen
The U-Pass Program allows Pasadena City College students to ride free on the Metro A Line train, Foothill Transit buses, and more.

PCC students and staff can take a free shuttle to the A Line Allen station from the Foothill and Colorado campuses. Shuttles run Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information on shuttle service operations, please visit the PCC shuttle webpage.
University of La Verne
Use this A Line Station: Allen
The new A Line La Verne / Fairplex A Line station is next to the University of La Verne main campus.
The station entry/exit point is on Arrow Hwy. Pedestrians can exit the station and head westbound on Arrow Hwy for a few minutes. At the Arrow Hwy / D St intersection, head north on D St, and you will enter the university’s campus. Within four minutes, you will arrive at the University of La Verne Bookstore, a.k.a. the campus center.
Campus West is further than the main campus. Pedestrians can walk westbound along Arrow Hwy. At the Arrow Hwy / Wheeler Ave intersection, walk southbound on Wheeler Ave for a few minutes until you reach Campus West. This route is approximately a 17-minute walk.
